My Review
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book after the Black Mountain Academy series was announced. I’ve enjoyed previous books from Ashley Jade so I knew I’d be up for a wild ride and she definitely didn’t disappoint. Aspen and Knox’s story was a real whirlwind. It’s full of twists and betrayals. Knox is your typical jerk that I’ve come to expect from Ashley Jade. He’s a character that you hate but can’t help but love at the same time. As far as Aspen, I’m still on the fence on how I feel about her. I didn’t particularly like or hate her. The ending took me by surprise. It seemed quick and a little too easy of a resolution. The epilogue was gold however and may have been one of the best parts of the book for me. It made me want more of these characters. Overall, I think if you’re a fan of Ashley Jade, you’ll definitely edit this one.
