My Review:
That sinking feeling that you get when there’s 19 minutes left in a book and you know there’s no way all the issues you’ve been reading about can get solved in that amount of time. Only to then get slapped in the face with an ending so intense that you scream because dang it you want to know what’s going to happen! Alas, this book ends in a cliffy and that fact just about broke my heart. You’ve been warned.
Hard Rules is gripping from start to finish. I was so engrossed in this book that I could not put it down. The confidence that Shane exudes is intoxicating! He comes off as a bit arrogant with his take charge attitude but it only makes him more alluring. Emily is a bit of a mystery. There’s so many levels to her that we haven’t cracked into yet. You can tell she wants her independence yet something is holding her back. She’s hiding but from what or who exactly, is the question. One thing that is blatantly obvious though is her feelings for Shane and his for her. These two are explosive together. There’s no denying the connection between them. Hard Rules is suspenseful, engaging and fast paced. I loved everything about this book!!
