My Review:
I really liked the world that Golden has created. Seal of Solomon is action packed and engaging. Some parts were still kind of difficult to follow but I felt the story flowed a lot better than the first book. There were a few twists that caught me off guard. I couldn’t believe those things even took place. I’m not sure that I’m okay with the resolution to those situations either but it made for a more dramatic story. The one thing I loved the most is that we got a lot more Joey in this book! There’s a lot of depth to this story but one thing I’ve noticed is that the “romance” type scenes are a bit rushed. No, I’m not saying that there needs to be a whole lot of sex and feelings or even a lot of detail when it come said sex or feelings, I prefer to have more action when it comes to PNR. I’m saying that when those parts do come up in the story, it’s almost like it’s thrown in there just to have a “romance” factor. There isn’t much to it at all and makes what the characters feel for each other less believable. I’d almost prefer to read the book without it. There’s so much detail to the story that I don’t feel the extra is needed. Golden does a great job pulling you into this world that he’s built. I loved the direction Seal of Solomon went in and I look forward to reading the next book.
