Our lives are a collection of moments. Some utterly painful and full of yesterday's hurts. Some beautifully hopeful and full of tomorrow's promises.
I’ve had many moments in my lifetime, moments that changed me, challenged me. Moments that scared me and engulfed me. However, the biggest ones—the most heartbreaking and breathtaking ones—all included him.
I was ten years old when I lost my voice. A piece of me was stolen away, and the only person who could truly hear my silence was Brooks Griffin. He was the light during my dark days, the promise of tomorrow, until tragedy found him. Tragedy that eventually drowned him in a sea of memories.
This is the story of a boy and girl who loved each other, but didn’t love themselves. A story of life and death. Of love and broken promises.
(Book Three in the Elements Series. Complete Standalone. Coming Fall 2016.)
This story had me absolutely speechless. The Silent Waters is all consuming. It is beautifully written. Brittainy C Cherry drew so many different emotions out of me from the very beginning. My heart hurt for Maggie and the challenges she faced. No child should ever have to experience what she went through. She was vulnerable to her demons but she eventually found her strength to overcome. I loved her relationship with Brooks. The way they interacted as they aged was so sweet and I admire Brooks for being there for her every step of the way. Being the anchor she needed to pull through her storm and to keep her from drowning. There was no denying the bond between them. They always found a way back to each other. Their love is everlasting. I was entranced in Maggie and Brooks’ story from the first page to the last. More than that though I loved the message that the Brittainy wanted to bring awareness to. This is definitely one of my favorite reads of 2016. You do not want to pass up this book!!
