“This story was brutal truth wrapped in hope, courage and unflinching love. It’s a must read. It’s a STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND READ THIS NOW kind of book. Don’t hold your breath, this story will steal it from you.” – J. Sterling, NYT Bestselling Author
My fairy tale is upside down.
A happily never after.
I kissed the prince and he turned into a fraud.
I was a fool, and his love – fool’s gold.
Now there’s a new player in the game, August West.
One of the NBA’s brightest stars.
He wants me. I want him.
But my past, my fraudulent prince, just won’t let me go.
*Author’s Note: There are aspects of this story that may be sensitive for some readers.
This book seriously gut me! It’s highly emotional and heart wrenching. Kennedy Ryan’s writing is amazing. You can’t help but get drawn into every emotion she’s trying to portray. I love the way she brings awareness of different everyday issues in her stories. It makes everything more realistic and her characters more relatable. This book wasn’t any different. I couldn’t imagine going through what Iris went through. There were moments where I couldn’t believe she kept herself in certain situations but at the end of the day, I get it. I can’t say I wouldn’t have handled things the same way. August was special. I loved his persistence and the way he was willing to go out on a limb for Iris no matter the risks. And the way he was with Sarai absolutely melted my heart. Long Shot was engaging from start to finish. I really enjoyed everything about this book.
