Hale and his is David Andrews, and this is our love story.
I couldn’t wait to read this book and I must say the writing was really good. EK Blair wove a story filled of love and lost that kept my attention from the very beginning. Cam and David were cute but at times things seemed a little awkward. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against taboo. I actually enjoy it but something just didn’t qutie connect for me at times. Cam was very vulnerable for most, if not all, of the book so I think it makes their situation a lot harder to digest. I loved that he was the solace that she needed to get through her struggles but it all seemed to blend in at some point where I question whether her feelings were geniune. She seemed very co-dependent on him. I also liked that EK Blair brought awareness to things that many people struggle with on a daily basis. It was hard reading those parts with Cam and I do appreciate that it wasn’t an easy fix for her. She actually had to work to get better which made the story more realistic. I do feel as though certain parts were rushed. I wish we could have experienced more of her life after everything blew up instead of being told about it. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this story.
Blair, takes her readers on an emotional roller coaster with her books. Blair
tends to drift towards love stories that are deeply layered with emotional
angst. Give her a character and she will dig into their core to find what lies
Aside from writing, E.K. Blair finds pleasure in music, drinking her Starbucks
in peace and spending time with her friends and family. She’s a thinker, an artist,
a wife, a mom, and everything in between.
