I make my living as a hustler, and I’m great at it.
I don’t have a single tell and use that to my advantage to manipulate any situation.
I’ve always known what a person is about to do before they’ve even decided.
That is, until I met Nell.
I can’t get a read on her, and what’s worse, she doesn’t want anything to do with me.
Which only makes me want her more.
Now I’m in for the hardest hustle of my life.
Somehow I have to convince Nell that she belongs with me.
Good thing I’m always up for a challenge.
Gavin’s a hustler and let’s face it, he’s the best at it. He doesn’t show emotion. He doesn’t have a tell and that’s taken him straight to the top. He is the best at reading people, being able to to predict their next move before they even decide what move they’re going to make. Until Penelope.
This was one of those all around entertaining reads from start to finish. Penelope is passionate about her dreams and even though she hasn’t been able to make her dreams come true yet, she isn’t giving up. Even though she struggles at times, she’s doing everything she can to not only help herself but her family. Gavin is a jerk but at least he knows it. Deep down though you could tell that he had a big heart, not only by the way he interacted with his friends but by the way he came to care about Penelope. The tug o’ war between Gavin and Penelope was intense to say the least. I really enjoyed the cat and mouse game that they played. There connection was undeniable and the banter was absolutely hilarious. I couldn’t put this book down.
