My Review:

This is a highly entertaining read. I’m pretty sure I laughed the entire time I read. The characters are so quirky and unique. I loved the Winston family dynamic and how they supported each other. Though I will say the Jennifer’s parents are absolutely vile. I was happy when she found her backbone and started standing up for herself. No one should have to go through what she went through with her parents. Jennifer was sheltered but she didn’t let that hold her back from finding her way, even if she did have a little help. I love the way Cletus’ mind works and the things that he would say pretty much had me in tears. He truly stole the show in this book. I thought Beard Science was a very unique story, and I also loved how Jennifer and Cletus came to be together. From start to finish, I just couldn’t get enough of these two. The writing was great and there is plenty of depth to the story. I look forward to reading what Penny Reid comes out with next.
