Cover Design: Cover Me Darling
I was never meant to have a happily ever after.
It was a fate I accepted a long time ago.
Before he came for me, taking away who I am, I needed to escape.
Just for one night.
One man turned my entire world upside down.
I should have walked away, but something about him wouldn’t let me.
Now I’m lying to him.
He’s going to find out the truth, or my life will catch up to me.
Either way, I lose him.
It’s a thought I can’t bear.
People have always told me love is amazing and powerful.
It makes you weak…exposing your vulnerabilities…making you easy prey.
Love is heinous.
Nikki never saw him coming but at this moment with her freedom on the line, she decides to embrace this sudden attraction. Even if only for one night. Until he decided that one night just wasn’t going to be enough.
Heinous is book two in the Deathstalkers MC series. I was really looking forward to Twisted’s story as he quickly became one of my favorite characters in book one. His past is dark but it’s definitely what makes him who he is. Nikki was strong even through her most vulnerable moments which I liked about her. I really enjoyed the banter between Twisted and Nikki. She knew how to give it as good as she got it. That humor was the saving grace of this book. I think this book had a lot more potential. The idea behind their story was great but other than that something was just missing for me.
