Baseball isn’t supposed to be a game of life and death…
The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase … he started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.
I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.
Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.
And everything in my world broke apart.
My Review:
Baseball. For Ty, it was her life. Yankee stadium is her home. The players are her family. Her father, a legend on the field. Everything was perfect. Until Chase Stern. She couldn’t help but be distracted by the way he played the game. Then the Yankees took a turn for the worse. Women started dying and nothing would ever be the same.
Moonshot wasn’t like any other sports romance that I’ve read before. I loved it! With an angst filled build up, Alessandra Torre kept me guessing to no avail and I loved how this story was spun. It’s fast paced and suspenseful. There’s plenty of depth to the story and the characters. Not only that but the characters were relatable. I could not put this book down.
I loved how Ty’s life revolved around baseball. How she found happiness in this sport that she shared with her father. I loved the way she interacted with him and the other players. You can really tell how passionate she is about the game and her team.
I wasn’t sure how to feel about Chase at the beginning but he ended up surprising me. He’s a bit of a troublemaker and comes off as cocky and entitled. He’s confident with the sex appeal to go with it. I ended up loving him though. There was so much more to Chase than I expected.
“Like what you see?”
Chase and Ty are explosive together. Their chemistry is undeniable and their love was unconditional. They didn’t always make the best decisions but nothing, not even time, could extinguish the fire between them. These two are my favorite couple so far this year.
