My Review

I usually love Kaylee Ryan but I Just Want You isn’t what I’ve come to expect from her. It’s predictable, there’s no depth and the writing is rushed. I knew where this book was going 4% in which was a bit frustrating. I think the premise of the story as a whole has potential but it just didn’t draw me in. There were a couple humorous moments and the more physical moments between Crew and Berkelee were hot but other than that I didn’t connect with this book at all. I really wanted to like Crew and Berkelee but the more I read, the more frustrated I got with them. They never seemed to be on the same page. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the jealous, alpha type but it just got annoying and repetitive with Crew. He came off as more clingy than anything to me. Berkelee wasn’t any better. She gave into him so easily even when she was supposedly “frustrated” with him. They both are just really naive and never seemed to show any growth or development throughout the story.
